Appears to be related to changing the User Data Location, as has appeared twice after attempting that without changing any other preferences (resolved both times by deleting cache and preferences) and works ok when not attempted. This makes a huge difference when I have a pretty big shortlist and if we have ticked keep the scouting report updated.
